future dreams will be unlocked every tuesday, thursday, sunday

“You said you’d take me as your soulmate in front of the Saintess!”

“Yes.”

“This crazy bastard! Why are you dragging me into your love games!” Lennard accepted a glass of champagne from a passing servant with an indifferent expression.

“The Li family said they’d lend you to me if necessary, and the money they lent to the Verhagen Dukedom…”

At Lennard’s remark, Benedict closed his mouth. It was true that his family had extorted money using Benedict, who possessed the power of a soulmate. He was one of the few people who could make contact with Lennard, who had mysophobia.

“Even so, you should have consulted me!”

Benedict was still indignant. He had never used the money he received. All of it was used for the Li family’s upkeep, in other words, their extravagance. Knowing Benedict’s circumstances, Lennard hadn’t mentioned repaying the money.

“I apologize for speaking without your consent, but if she truly doesn’t have the power of a soulmate, I intend to accept you as my soulmate.”

Benedict’s mouth opened and closed, then he covered his face with both hands. Why was the embarrassment his?

“B-But you said your body felt incredibly light after spending a night with that woman.” Benedict clung to a thread of hope.

“Yes, and that’s why I won’t be taking you as my soulmate. If I find her.”

At Lennard’s chilling tone, Benedict gulped. To live the life of a rabbit-like soulmate with a bear-like, steadfast Awakened, he had to find the woman Lennard met, no matter what. “I’ve tried looking, but there’s just… no information.”

“I know.”

“How could you not even think to ask for her name?”

“If you hadn’t urgently called me about the gate opening, I would already know her name.”

The surrounding temperature seemed to drop by 10 degrees. It wasn’t an illusion. A chilling air was emanating from Lennard. Benedict brought up another topic to divert his thoughts.

“Do you remember anything else? You said she had red hair, but there are plenty of people with red hair. Besides, the drawing you gave me as a reference is practically trash… Lenn?”

Lennard abruptly stood up. The back of a woman standing in a secluded corner with a glass in her hand looked familiar. He rushed over and spun her around by her shoulders.

“Eek!” The startled woman, with wide, rabbit-like eyes, had red hair and amber eyes.
